Goodbye baby weight!

So, its been 14 months since Talia entered the world.

I weighed 9st pre pregnancy. 14st when I gave birth. That’s a huge weight gain!

I am so proud of myself, I now weigh 9 1/2 stone! And I’m back into my pre pregnancy clothes. I haven’t been obsessive over losing it. I’ve purely enjoyed my time becoming a mother. Its only the last two or so months that I’ve started doing the “Belly Blitz” DVD (which I really recommend!)

I must admit, all the walking I have done in the past year and having my break-up in January has had a huge role to play in my weight loss! I used to eat a lot of rubbish with my ex, now I only eat little bits of junk! I aim to do an hour workout five days a week once Talia is in bed which is easier said than done I know!

I guess its not so much about losing the weight, its feeling that little bit healthier in myself! Im also itll strengthen my joints, as I am hypermobile,I do find it difficult to do certain exercises because I have such a big history of dislocations and joint injury. Saying that, after exercising  I wake up feeling so much more happier, just because I’ve had a work out! I also still do pretty much daily walks with Talia too…running around after a 1 year old is also increasingly becoming part of my routine!

I just wanted to share this post because I am truly so proud of how well I’ve done! πŸ˜€

  1. And a HUGE congratulations – you definitely deserve it!!! I know only too well how hard it is to lose the weight – mine is moving in the right direction but it’s not moving as fast as I’d like so I’m going to have to start exercising as diet alone is taking too long! With everything else that’s going on in your life you should be REALLY proud of yourself! xx

    • Thankyou Wendy 😚 its so hard to lose weight! I try to exercise for fun so that it doesn’t feel like weight loss πŸ˜‚ I haven’t ever done a diet because I know I could never ever stick to one! Fair play to you for trying though! πŸ™‚ weight loss happens when it happens, as long as we are healthy in ourselves thats the main thing πŸ™‚ xx

      • Thanks Maya – It took a diagnosis of Diabetes to give me the motivation to change my eating habits and bizarrely it’s been much better than I thought it would be. I’ve taken some time off work to get myself into a better way of living and eating and I’ve enjoyed cooking some healthy options without feeling hungry! It’s worked too as my diabetes readings have massively improved! x

      • It’s going to be a lifelong journey now – a new path to follow and you’re right there are lots of healthy changes that you can make. I find keeping a few walnuts or almonds to hand has been a way of staving off the sugar craving.. x

      • I think we are truly beautiful in our own ways! I guess it’s more for self confidence than anything! But we carried a baby, our bodies are truly magnificent! I do feel so much healthier since working out but I still remind myself that I’m a mum and it’s normal to have big and wobbly bits! Not a problem! Xx

      • That’s so fantastic. I’m ready to get rid of as many aches and pains as I can through reducing. I’ve got an upcoming trip as motivation! Haha!
