Was it just a dream?

Nope.
It was not a dream.
Talia pulled herself up, into a sitting position all by herself at 14 weeks old.
She was half propped up on my belly in our bed when she just pulled herself up and sat for a few seconds. I couldn’t believe it so I put her back, woke up Conol and she did it again. Obviously she would never be left unaided as she isn’t old enough and doesn’t thave the strength but the fact she is starting to lift herself up is great. She’s growing and developing so quickly. I’m proud of you T, such a clever girly!

Three Wonderful Months!

My little bean is Three Months Old!

I think I’m crying a little bit inside…PLEASE stop growing so quickly hehe!

Talia Three Months

At Three Months old, Talia can now FULLY hold her head! Which I think is a massive step, It almost feels they aren’t as dependent when they can hold their head fully. She’s also beginning to try to roll over, She gets onto her side partially and starts getting angry because shes not quite there yet!It makes me giggle. She smiles ALL of the time, especially if you sit there and say “Smile!”. Which is great for photos. I always manage to catch her smiles.

She’s a definite water baby, she has a bath before bed every night and I take ger swimming once a week. She loves it so much she hates getting out. Her favourite toy seems to be her snuggie Raffi, Who she loves stroking. She drinks pretty much 6oz every three hours and she sleeps through the night. She is still in her 0-3 clothes but is beginning to fit in her 3-6 dresses too. We waved goodbye to newborn last week! Shes becoming a right cheeky monkey and when shes moody. we know about it. She is an absolute star though and I can’t believe how quickly its flying by. I wouldn’t change her or any thing about her. She always manages to light up my way in some way or another!

Nuby teething ring!

image

I invested in one of these Nuby teething rings, you can get them from most places…I got mine from Tescos! Talia isn’t teething as such but I think it may be beginning, so after recommendations by a few other mummy friends I purchased it. Even if she doesn’t use it now, it’ll be ready for her. For now its just good for grabbing and showing her the bright colors. And she does like it! (I think!) I think £3.99 is such a reasonable price and it looks super pretty. Whether it works or not I’m not sure. Apparently because its bumpy it helps the teeth cut through? I guess I’ll find out! I’ll let you guys know how it works later down the line!

Room move?

I had a conversation with my Aunt today and she recommended putting Talia in her own room now. Apparently they sleep so much better in their own room. Whilst I don’t doubt that for a second, I think I would rather she stayed with me a little bit longer. She has a crib in our room, so it’s like a mini cot so I think she will transition fine when the time comes. My aunts children went into their own room at 8 weeks. I feel this is too early from my personal point of view.

Talia’s dummy sucking and wriggling does wake me up at night as does my partner tossing and turning in our squeaky bed. But I think we’ve all adjusted to these sounds. I think if she was in her own room right now, I would worry so much. Being a ftm I want to be as close to her as possible. I want to enjoy every moment whilst shes young and depends on me. Babies dont fully depend for long, they soon become independent. I feel moving her into her own room now is maybe wishing things to go quicker?

At the end of the day, I view it as every baby is different and every parent is different.  Whilst it may be right for others, it may not be right for some. I think at six months I will look at transitioning!! 11742722_848499171931915_8615765207196697734_n

Roll, roll, roll!

image

At nearly 12 weeks, talia is starting to roll and become stronger. Her head control is really great now and she does a sort of dolphin pose and tries to roll over. I can’t wait for her to roll over, she’s trying so hard! (On the other hand, I think I’ll cry as its clear she’s growing too quickly! ) she’s so tired now but she was so close. Both Conol and I were sat with her and we thought she was going to do it at one point, but then she got angry! :3 I don’t think it will be long at all…then there’s no stopping her!
